Primary Function:
A national building products company is looking for a credit manager to manage credit risk for multiple branches in accordance with the organization’s goals and objectives in order to maximize profit and return on investment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Determine if risk should be curtailed or expanded based on current portfolio condition
• Develops appropriate strategies that allow for increased sales and balanced risk
• Evaluates, approves and rejects new customers for credit approval
• Established terms and conditions under which the customer may qualify for credit (including determining the appropriate lien or bond action to be taken)
• Communicates and enforces terms of sale
• Evaluates, approves and rejects specific projects for existing customers
• Takes collection action
• Maintains customer records and files
• Determines where additional security may be necessary in order to maintain the integrity of the A/R portfolio
• Prepares analysis and reports as required
• Recommends legal and third party collection action (as appropriate)
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Adept at working with urgency and deadlines

• Tremendous skill at following up
• Technical knowledge of credit and commercial law (including laws relating to liens and bonds)
• Creative in your approach to solving issues that arise
• Bilingual is a plus

Experience:
• 5 - 10 years experience with financial analysis and credit/collection experience
• 5 - 10 years experience working directly with customers in a lending or customer service setting
