Currently, we are searching for a Credit Analyst
Overview:
To prepare written credit analyses of new and existing loans for both C & I borrowers as well as Commercial Real Estate transactions.
Responsibilities:
Accurately assesses the level of risk, tying in all possible repayment sources including earnings, capital adequacy/asset quality, re-financing, collateral protection and guarantees. Understands and integrates into the analysis of risk the impact of external facts such as management, market, strategy, industry, and economic climate. Completes a thorough detailed and accurate credit analysis. Formulates constructive and action-oriented recommendations to improve our level of risk on consistent basis. Knows and understands all aspects of Century Bank’s Credit Policy guidelines and consistently list all exceptions. Effectively communicates with lenders, customers, management, etc. to obtain additional information and/or relay information. Negotiates with lenders concerning underwriting and effectively arrives at a loan structure that is within the Bank's risk parameters. Monitors and/or ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, as well as Bank operation policies and procedures. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have at least 2 years of credit analysis experience, solid writing skills, well-developed organizational skills, and accounting knowledge equivalent to an advanced accounting course. In addition, this candidate must understand all types of real estate transactions including construction, mini-perms, residential, residential subdivisions, commercial, industrial, and office as well as mixed-use properties. A Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA/MA in business or finance is preferred.
