Description This position assists the Commercial Relationship Manager, using a team approach, in the production of a written credit analysis/presentation that is utilized in the approval process. The Analyst provides value added services by producing the written product, while also assigning proper SIC code classifications, risk grades, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and offering an independent objective opinion concerning the overall credit worthiness of a potential borrower. Required Skills ·Good working knowledge of all types of financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow statements. ·Ability to analyze personal financial statements and credit bureau information. ·Ability to analyze and understand Dun and Bradstreet Reports. ·Ability to spread and analyze business financial information to ascertain overall credit risk. ·Assign an accurate risk rating per policy directives. ·Understanding of cash flow concepts and ability to apply on a case-by-case basis to determine debt service capacity. ·Ability to analyze business plans, financial projections, cash flow projections and pro-forma financial statements. ·Ability to analyze business financial performance relative to Risk Management Associates industry averages as outlined by Standard Industrial Classifications. ·General working knowledge of what distinguishes strong companies or industries from weak companies or industries. ·Ability to analyze applicants and properly structure commercial transactions to mitigate unnecessary risks and safeguard banks asset quality. ·Ability to analyze proposed collateral structures and values. ·Strong working knowledge of Bank policy and SBA and DCCA lending programs and requirements. ·Ability to price approved loan applications, using bank prepared software, while taking into account-related risk and other factors such as previous bank experience and depository and trust relationships. ·Identify opportunities and benefits to sell to the customer. ·Handle customer inquiries (both internal and external) in a professional and timely manner. ·Strong computer skills that include working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Windows, and Internet knowledge. ·Excellent oral and written communications skills. ·Good working knowledge of spread sheet software systems including Baker Hill/ STAN and Farm Equity Manager. ·Strong ability to deal with all levels of management in a professional manner even when conflict arises. ·Strong negotiation and sales skills necessary to support the credit decision and protect the Required Experience Education: ·Bachelor degree in business, finance, accounting or related field Experience: ·2 years of banking with credit experience preferred AMCORE Bank values a diverse workforce.
