Directs financial management functions including development of monthly/quarterly financial statements and other related reports for management.

Works in collaboration with the CFO to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information in support of overall business objectives.

Oversees general accounting functions, including the financial accounting, investment accounting, cash accounting, premium accounting and state regulatory reporting.

Assists in the completion of the federal tax returns, including the filing of the quarterly excise tax return.

Manages employees in the Financial Accounting Department.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units.

Prepares financial reports and performed various analyses as requested by management. 

Completes consolidated financial reports.

Assists in the preparation of the annual statutory audit report.

Supervises the investment accounting, cash accounting and premium accounting divisions.

Supervises the preparation of premium tax returns and various other state reporting requirements. 

Supervises the preparation of the quarterly and annual statutory report. 

      BS Accounting CPA required.  CPCU a plus.
