 Dressings, Sauces, and Oils manufactures bulk refined oils, packaged oils, dressings and sauces through 13 locations across North America.  The Costing Assistant is a new position supporting our customer profitability efforts.  The ideal candidate should be actively involved in maintaining the cost data for all business segments.  This position is highly administrative, working with a large amount of data and requires a high attention to detail.   This position is located in Sidney, OH.  No relocation assistance will be provided. Principal Accountabilities:30% - Build costs for new products across all business segments: pulling Crystal reports and inserting into Adage, be proactive and to validate data, set up products and keep up with the changes in product pricing for 2,000 SKUs for 3 business segments  30% - Maintain the validation and accuracy of the cost data 30% - Provide feedback and education to all sales managers, customer service representatives, and plant administration on cost related queries.  Work with the sales team to help them understand costs and how they affect pricing. 10% - Special projects: clean up data on different warehouses and ensure data integrity. Required:Associate's degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting OR 2+ years of experience in finance/costing position Experience in a deadline-driven environment Solid understanding of priorities and ability to be proactive and sensitive to timelines Strong desire to improve processes High attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred: Strong PC skills with emphasis on MS Access, Excel and Crystal ReportsCargill was founded in 1865 out of a single grain facility in Iowa.
