MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Reports directly to the Cost Control Coordinator and supports the Project Team.

Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost control system, procedures and data to support the Project, including review, analysis and reporting of Project budget, expenditure and forecast costs.

Responsible for coordination with Finance, Accounting and Corporate for communication of cost data and forecasts.

Complete all Health, Environmental and Safety training within the specified timeframes.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of Turner & Townsend’s team working within a client’s environment, the individual should be able to:

·        Develop, implement and maintain a system and procedures for cost control, including forecasting and reporting, to support the Project.

·        Assist in the development of Project budgets and estimates, corresponding to the Work Breakdown Structure, within standard budget submission cycles.

·        Develop detailed and executive level cost reports, and reporting structures, to include budget, commitments, earned value, invoiced, cash flow, forecasts and contingencies, corresponding to the Work Breakdown Structure, within Capital and Expense accounting guidelines.

·        Review, analyze and communicate cost data and recommendations to Project Manager to maintain the Project within approved budgets and cash flow constraints.

·        Review and communicate with Contractors for validity and reporting of Contractor’s cost data for incorporation into the overall cost report.

·        Incorporate approved and pending changes into the cost control data, forecasts and reports.

·        Communicate cost data and forecasts to Accounting and Corporate at the agreed periodic reporting cycles.

·        Reconcile invoices received with cost control data.

·        Prepare the year-end cost data, earned values and accruals and communicate to Accounting.

·        Provide input to the Monthly Report and Monthly and Quarterly Reviews.

·        Assist in the preparation of the Project close out data and reports, including reconciliation of Project costs in accordance with the IPA cost element breakdown.
