Our Lansing area client is seeking a cost accountant. As cost accountant you will be assisting the facilities accounting practices and controls, maintenance of specific plant cost accounting records, and assist in preparation of inventory schedules for financial reports. Other responsibilities will be to assist with the preparation of annual budgets and prepare necessary supporting documentation. The cost accountant will also take a lead roll in further implementation of the job costing to standard cost system, or cost system appropriate for the specific company facilities.

Qualifications :
This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a MBA would be a plus. 5+ years experience in manufacturing accounting gained through increasing responsibility. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge of Great Plains/Solomon a plus.
