Multi-National manufacturer located in Pennsylvania is seeking a Cost Accountant.  Position will be responsible for assisting in the organization of the cost department, setting costs, investigating variances, analyzing manufacturing operations, providing reporting at various levels of operations and any special projects as assigned by Controller. 

 

Position Duties:

·                 Apply principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems

·                 Plan, study and collect data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor

·                 Analyze data obtained and record results

·                 Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on costs

·                 Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs (variance reporting)

·                 Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services

Plan and perform the cost rolls/standard costsMonitor the standard margin Reporting

  Requirements:

·                 BS in Accounting or Finance

·                 3 years of Accounting and Cost Accounting experience

·                 Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Power Point experience required

·                 Self motivator who works with little direction

·                 Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

·                 MRP experience a plus
