This is the opportunity for the person with strong cost accounting skills that wants to climb to the next level of a multi million dollar company. . You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate standard costs, and for the timely reporting and analysis of related variances. This cost accountant will also assist in audit compliance, and ensuring accurate actual costs. Responsibilities include: Develops material, labor and overhead standards in conjunction with annual budget process. Prepares and monitors reconciliation for all material costs including analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts related to materials. Prepares monthly purchase price variance analysis. Report variances. In the future you will learn and complete the close process with minimal supervision. This cost accountant will report labor variances to upper level management and work hand and hand with the plant for accurate variances.
