About the Opportunity


We are currently seeking a Plant Cost Accountant for our manufacturing plant in Kansas City, MO. Key Responsibilities: * Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor. * Analyze standard cost variances and their root causes on a daily basis * Daily and monthly reporting of variances to management team * Analyze monthly results for reporting package * Annual/Quarterly development of standard cost and variance plan, including labor rates, overhead rates, build of material costs, and cost reduction projects * Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program * Reconciles finished goods inventories

Qualifications

Successful candidate will possess: * BS in Accounting * Minimum of 5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong analytical and technical skills * Solid communication and presentation skills * A proven work record of self-motivation, productivity and teamwork * Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access
