POSITION TITLE: CORPORATE RECRUITER

POSITION SUMMARY:
Westcon Group, the world’s leading specialty distributor in networking, security, mobility and convergence has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Corporate Recruiter.  The recruiter will be responsible for meeting individual placement objectives by sourcing, screening, assessing, and presenting candidates for our US and Canada locations. The recruiter will provide strong strategic support to the business by consulting on the process, compliance and expectation setting.

This position can be located in Tarrytown, NY; Chantilly, VA or Lafayette, CO. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consult and advise hiring managers on overall hiring process, collaborate on job requisition details and creation, and advise on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques
• Review job descriptions to ensure proper advertisement format for internet job postings and target niche sites
• Source talented and diverse candidates through creative methods
• Effectively screen and interview candidates to assess skill & cultural fit
• Maintain knowledge of market demographics
• Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and HR management to ensure hiring requirements are met
• Ensure positive applicant experience through the interview and hiring process
• Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts
• Consistently update applicant tracking system and hiring managers in a timely manner
• Ensure regulatory compliance

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Skilled in candidate screening & interviewing
• Ability to source candidates from job boards, niche sites, job fairs, networking.
• Knowledge of state/federal labor laws and guidelines (including EEO).
• Flexibility in order to meet deadlines is a must
• Ability to work in a diverse team environment
• Ability to develop effective relationships
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in corporate recruiting
• Experience is technical sales recruiting strongly preferred
• Well versed with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; web-based applications; applicant tracking; Internet
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems a plus.
