Based in Wilmington, DE, Christiana Care Health System is one of the largest health care providers in the mid-Atlantic region, serving all of Delaware and portions of seven counties bordering the state in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
The not-for-profit, privately owned Christiana Care family of services includes two hospitals. The Christiana Hospital is a 907 bed tertiary care and regional referral center located on a suburban campus south of the City of Wilmington and has the only Level-I trauma service on the East Coast corridor between Philadelphia and Baltimore.. The Wilmington Hospital is a 271 bed hospital located in the downtown business district of Wilmington. A $205 million dollar expansion of the Wilmington Hospital will begin this year.
Christiana Care Health System is currently seeking a Corporate Director for our Facilities Engineering department. In this role you will plan, organize, manage and coordinate the Facilities Engineering organization to provide reliable utility systems and an environment of care that is conducive to excellent health care. You will develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, goals, objectives and standards of work performance for the maintenance and upgrade of Christiana Care owned facilities and operations of utility systems. With approximately 100 full-time employees under your direction you will have responsibility for over 2.8 million square feet of buildings.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred. Minimum 10 years experience in a management role in Facilities Engineering required. Hospital experience strongly preferred. Professional Engineering registration and Certified Healthcare Facility Manager certification desirable.
