Industrial Scientific Corporation is a dynamic and growing Pittsburgh-based company and a world leader in gas detection products and services.  We're seeking a top-flight attorney to serve as Corporate Counsel.

Responsibilities:

The position of Corporate Counsel is based in Oakdale, Pennsylvania.  This individual will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts and will provide general legal advice on a variety of topics including commercial transactions, compliance and regulatory issues, and employment matters.  This person will conduct legal research on a diverse, every-changing set of topics related to the business and will coordinate with outside counsel resources for expert opinions and legal needs.  The Corporate Counsel reports to the Chief Financial Officer of Industrial Scientific. 

Qualifications:

 

Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law schoolLicense to practice law in Pennsylvania (if not licensed in Pennsylvania currently, must be willing to become licensed in Pennsylvania)5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts and handling complex transactions either with a law firm or a corporate law department.  Proven track record of customer serviceGoal-oriented and highly ethicalPersuasive, compelling oral and written communication skillsDemonstrable leadership skills; able to influence decisions at all levels of the companyExceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to function in a team environment.Dynamic, self-motivated, and fact-driven work style that has the flexibility to change approach as the need arises.   Willingness to travel on a limited, occasional basis.
