Ohio Transmission Corporation has an immediate opening in our Columbus, Ohio Corporate office for a Buyer. Responsibilities include:
Purchase material to meet customer requirements and also to replenish inventory using inventory status reports.
Review and update ordering parameters of stock items with input from sales, marketing and management.
Negotiate favorable terms on stock orders and promotional programs.
Coordinate inventory exchanges with vendors.
Develop and improve vendor relationships and assist in vendor evaluations.
Assist in maintaining product costs on the ERP system.
Review PO exception reports; error cause correction.
Work with accounting department to resolve vendor invoice discrepancies
Make inventory adjustments when necessary.
