Is currently looking for a

  

      Corporate Accounting Controller

 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Oversee and supervise Corporate Bookkeeper; Manage operating entities monthly financial statements; responsible for operating company budgets and forecasting; Manage accounts receivable from fees sources; determine reserves for collectivity and bad debts; Manage cost recovery and expense allocations strategy and processes; Coordinate Management fees transaction with property accounting team; Bank reconciliation for corporate entities; Record journal entries and adjustments for operating company; Provide monthly reports and variance analysis to upper management; Manage year-end close and audit processes for operating company; Participate in process improvements projects and company initiatives; Various special projects as assigned.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

Minimum of 7+ years relevant or real estate industry experience; Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA; MRI/Yardi systems knowledge; Excellent communication skills both oral and written Great customer service skills to handle any issues in a friendly and courteous manner. Strong attention to detail, organization skills a must Ability to read, understand and interpret leases and other critical documents Must be computer literate, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Must be a self starter with a high level of initiative Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other department staff, tenants, and property managers
