Controls Engineer

Location: Syracuse, NY

Job Duties:

To design, develop, implement and test embedded software for mechatronic control of powertrain systems.

· Design, perform and report on validation procedures based on requirements

· Develop control algorithms for demonstrations and production

· Review customer specs and generate supplier and internal specs

· Design wiring harnesses for testing of mechatronic systems - vehicle, HIL, dyno

· Simulate mechatronic systems

· Communicate controls design status with engineering, suppliers, management and customers

· Contribute to cross-functional software development design reviews - logic design on vehicle control, system control, diagnostics, HIL & SIL testing

· Assist in the development of timing, budgets, resource planning and risk management for projects.

· Design, implement and follow engineering standards, including best practices and lessons learned

Experience in the Following:

· BS in Mechatronics, Controls, Software, Mechanical, or Electrical

· Matlab/Simulink or similar development environment

· Full Mechatronics system understanding

· Vehicle powertrain and vehicle dynamics.

· Targetlink

· Hydraulic Systems
