Growing organization seeks an experienced financial Controller for a full-time position in the Headquarters office in Sandy Hook. This is a high profile position with excellent growth potential and a competitive compensation package including excellent benefits. The right candidate will have a strong accounting and finance background.

We serve Municipal, Volunteer, and Federal Government Fire Departments equipment needs for Firefighting, Hazmat, Confined Space, Urban Search & Rescue, EMS, and miscellaneous operations. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Monthly Financial Statement preparation Account analysis and reconciliations Coordinate and lead annual audit; bank audits Assist in developing and maintaining written accounting policies GAAP accounting assurance Assist in budge and forecasting process Recommend, plan and execute routine internal audit process to maintain system of internal controls Special projects and analysis as required

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experience as Controller or Assistant Controller CPA & MBA a strong plus Strong background in GAAP Financial reporting experience Experience working with an ERP platform Experience with Microsoft Axapta and FRX a major plus Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Extremely well organized, ability to manage multiple tasks Ability to maintain and adjust priorities as needed Effective communicator

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

4 Year Accounting degree
