Small Company Controller opportunity in the Northern part of Greensboro is available for qualified candidates.  The client is seeking a BS in Accounting and a CPA to take on this exceptional position within a financially stable manufacturing and distribution company.

Maintain the company’s system of accounts and keep books and records on all company transactions and assets
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), and analyze and report variances
• Refine, recommend, design, implement and test accounting information system and improvements
• Develop team to manage accounting, including hiring, training and evaluation
• Establish major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations
• Final responsibility for providing effective financial controls for the company
• Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes
• Furnish internal reports, revise and update reports to improve usefulness and efficiency, and furnish external reports as necessary, including guidance of auditing functions
• Evaluate and recommend insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
• Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization
