Taylor-Wharton Cylinders LLC, a leader in the production of gas containment cylinders, is seeking a Controller for its Finance function located at its Huntsville, Alabama manufacturing facility.

 

This position holds overall responsibility for the accounting functions for the

T-W Cylinders business unit. Duties include monthly closings, account analysis (preparing all Balance Sheet account reconciliations with supporting documentation), preparing the annual plan and monthly forecasting along with reviewing and analyzing capital investments from each division. Will establish and administer financial reporting system for the Cylinders business unit.   Responsible for control environment and standards to safeguard company assets. Must prepare forecasts and annual plans in compliance with corporate guidelines. Develops and coordinates necessary accounting and statistical data for all departments. Review all required journal entries to record monthly activities. Reviews balance sheet account reconciliations, reports and resolves discrepancies. Maintain and compile Hyperion data base files in compliance with GAAP and all TWI policy and procedures. Responsible for oversight of standard cost systems and standard cost revisions. Analysis and preparation of reports regarding monthly results, quarterly management analysis, major sales proposals. Assist in leadership of annual physical inventory.

 

This individual will supervise one Cost Accountant.

 

This position requires a BS degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of eight years progressively responsible experience in manufacturing accounting.

CPA, MBA, CMA a plus.

 

This person must have the ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines in a fast paced environment. Travel to other TW Cylinder sites required as needed.

Intermediate level experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion is a plus.
