Controller

Central Arkansas business with interest in agriculture and agricultural support is currently conducting interviews for the position of Controller. Candidate will report directly to the CFO and will oversee and manage the Accounting Department. Ideal candidate will be a skilled Accountant / Supervisor with a high energy level, a professional attitude and a strong desire to succeed.

Duties include:

1.) Directly supervise Staff Accountants and oversee company financial operations

2.) Manage the preparation of monthly reports, annual budgets, forecasting, profit/loss statements, expenditures, and all special financial reports, studies and analysis

3.) Develop and manage internal audit control systems, including cash management, payroll processing, etc.

4.) Ensure financial operations are in compliance with all State and Federal regulations

Requirements include:

1.) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

2.) Minimum 5 years previous experience with at least two years as an Asst. Controller or in an Accounting Supervisory role

3.) Strong general accounting experience with expertise in the areas of financial report preparation and budget development

Preferred:

1.) CPA

2.) Previous experience with ACCPAC, agricultural finance and investment management
