Introduction: Are you a Controller who is ready to enhance your career by joining our financial management team?  We are a successful, profitable and efficiently run investor owned water utility company serving over 1 million people and providing services to other utilities for many years.  Our present controller, with us for years, has accepted a position with a non-profit organization.

Position Description: Controller.  Direct the overall preparation of financial statements, budgets, payroll and tax records and other accounting-related functions such as:
· Utility plant accounting
· Contract management
· Subsidiary and general ledger preparation.
· Tax preparation and filing
· Cash management
· Internal control work
· Operating results appraisals

Position Requirements:
· BS/BA Degree in Accounting or closely related field
· CPA in California, or readily transferable from another State
· Significant experience at supervision of accounting staff
· Diversified background working with financial accounting systems, spreadsheets and database software.
· Ability to handles complex accounting and financial data
· Good written and oral communication skills
· Useful to have a background in the utility sector, but not required

Compensation:
Annual salary range is $150,000 to $170,000 commensurate with experience plus a bonus program; package includes excellent benefits and relocation assistance.
