CH2M HILL is looking for a very experienced Contracts Manager for their commercial oil and gas projects in our Anchorage, Alaska offices. 

This position is responsible for project business groups, clients for contract administration services, including but not limited to, budgeting,  cost estimating, cost proposal preparation, contract negotiation, subcontracting, purchasing, project accounting financial analysis and pre-reporting, contract compliance, project audites, project property management and any other business related support required by the Program/Project Manager(s).  May perform as a Contract Group Leader of the other group staff servicing the Delivery Center. Program/Project Manager may assign responsibility to the contract Manager as the primary project interface wit the client’s contracting official.


Essential Job Functions:
1. Directs the development, updates and ensures compliance with specific program/project instructions that are consistent with contact terms applicable regulations and firm policies and procedures.
2. Manages million dollar contracts
3. Ensures adherence to the firm’s signature authority policy, and facilitates approval of necessary and appropriate deviations.
4. Coordinates with Corporate Audit Group and supports periodic internal project audits, outside project audits by clients, and federal and state agency audits.
5. Performs as liason between client, program/project staff and subcontractors
6. Leads the development of negotiation strategies for project and team subcontracts and assists where appropriate in the contract negotiations.

Other Job Responsibilities:
1. Conducts strategic pricing planning, leads cost proposal development and participates in technical proposal preparation in compliance with policies and procedures
2. Reviews/prepares and maintains the monthly financial report and invoice processing cycle in coordination with program/project management staff
3. Reviews project accounting activities and monitors for accuracy, completeness, timeliness and profitability.
4. Performs other related tasks as directed.
5. With the PM, develops the negotiation strategy and plans/leads, where appropriate, contract negotiations with the client.

Qualifications Fifteen (15+) years contract management or relevant experience.
