SUMMARY OVERVIEW The focus will be on contract negotiations and contract management interacting directly with Internal Customers, Legal Department, and Vendors.
Responsiblilities will also include management of IT new, inherited through acquisition and/or to be renewed contracts. This person is also in charge of establishing and maintaining contract and licensing department processes & policies.
Specific skills and knowledge include the following:
*Experience in IT Software and Services Contract Negotiations, and Contract Review
*Strong Organizational and Communication Skills with willingness to work as a team player within the IT Contracts & Licensing Team.
*Experience in managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
*Strong Understanding of Software Licensing Models, & Maintenance and Product Support Models.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Seek out and understand IT contract and licensing requirements to keep an up to date schedule of new and to be renewed contracts and licenses
•Assess complex contract cost and terms and conditions risks
•Assess contracts assigned or pending assignment to Jabil through merge and acquisitions and evaluate merged or acquired sites compliance to those contracts
•Act as the liaison between IT, legal and finance department for the assigned contracts and adhere to finance and legal processes for approval
•Negotiate new or existing complex agreement on time and as or better than budgeted
•Train and mentor corporate and site IT employees on contract department processes
•Audit site and corporate to assess contract department process compliance
•Prepare department forecasts and compare forward forecast results to historical actual for trend assessment and analysis; prepare FY contract reports
•Lead the design and continuous improvement of contract department process
•Define, maintain and manage the Global Software Compliance Strategy.
•Manage external audit to mitigate risks
•Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department.
•Ask questions; encourage input from team members.
•Provide regular updates to appropriate managers.
•Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
•Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
•Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
•Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in field”.
•Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
•Confer with reporting manager on complex or unusual situations.
•Establish new measurement systems if/where possible.
•Exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.
•Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health, Safety and Quality)
•Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Jabil or customer specific.
•Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
•Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to the IT systems.
•Understand and embrace the business and IT strategic direction.
•Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
•Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Minimum 5 to 10 years experience with contract management. Certified Software Manager OR Advanced Software Manager or equivalent software industry standard certification.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook. Keyboard Proficient. Must have completed Typing I, II and III. Advanced knowledge of US and International copyright law and intellectual Property Rights. Understanding of external auditor processes and rights. Understanding of Jabil IT infrastructure and Corporate IT Contracts. Understanding of Jabil baselines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time. Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time. Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking, reaching carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs, with some occasional lifting up to 50lbs.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
