170 bed hospital seeks a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Specialty License for Supervisor of Lab Services Day Shift (6a-2:30p).  Main duties include providing professional and technical skills and knowledge to ensure accurate and timely performance of clinical laboratory tests and reporting of results to responsible party. Performs other duties as requested. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.

Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide accurate, timely testing of clinical specimens, preferably in multiple laboratory disciplines. Good clinical judgment and problem solving abilities.  Possess technical expertise in at least one laboratory modality.  Possess skills in leadership and good communication skills in English.

Must have previous Chemistry Supervisor experience.  Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences preferred. One year internship in California approved program or equivalent. Prefer 6 years of previous clinical laboratory experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
