Job Title:   Contract Deskside Support Analyst

 

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

 

Provide IT technical support for Wintel and Apple Macintosh desktop clients including Hardware break/fix and supported application and OS Software support, PC and Laptop Installations, Moves, Adds and Changes.      

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

 

Incident ownership for L2 PC/Laptop related failures. As required, coordinate incident recovery and repair with 3rd party support providers . Configure, maintain, and administer all classes of in-scope PC and Laptop computer systems Assist in projects with infrastructure components as needed. Install and configure new software and hardware Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for enterprise and business applications. Troubleshoot and resolve supported application and OS related PC and Laptop issues. Troubleshoot and repair supported PC/Laptop hardware. Assist with the maintenance and updating of various tracking systems (e.g. Service Desk Ticket and Asset Inventory updates).  Strong organizational, technical validation and documentation skills. A+ Certified with strong knowledge of MS Windows /NT/2000/XP, MS Office97/2000/XP Microsoft. Apple Macintosh Technician, Hardware and Mac OS X Certified Maintain and provide a high level of service to the internal customers.

·         Accurately escalate and route calls that cannot be resolved to the appropriate support.

·         Other Duties assigned by Management.


 



JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required:

·         Strong knowledge of MS Windows/NT/XP/Vista, MS Office97/2000/XP and Microsoft clients and related hardware.

·         Strong knowledge of MAC OS, client software and related hardware.

·         Strong trouble shooting and problem resolution skills

·         Excellent organizational skills
