Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. a leader in providing quality Landscaping, Irrigation and Maintenance Services to commercial and residential customers in San Antonio, Austin and surrounding areas, is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for San Antonio, TX corporate office.

Responsibilities: The qualified candidate’s duties for this position will include but are not limited to: code job costing and key-in purchase requisitions daily into computer to generate purchase orders, match and key-in job cost vendor invoices daily into computer, code and key-in expense invoices to computer daily, to generate Accounts Payable.  Reconcile vendor statement to computer AP balances.  Prepare semi-weekly checks from Account Payable and on-demand manual check request.  Make timely payments on monthly recurring invoices.  Reconcile checks with check register.  Reconcile certain GL account balances.  Make necessary adjustments to coding errors; make one-time adjustments to invoices, print checks, distribute checks, and any other duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements: Candidate must have a HS diploma/GED and 3 to 5 years related work experience in Accounts Payable, or an equivalent combination of college education and experience.  Ideal candidate would be proficient in current Accounts Payable practices, and excellent skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP database software.  Must be a team player with strong communication skills, detailed oriented, be able to organize, implement and promote company Accounts Payable procedure and policy.
