We're looking for like-minded individuals to join our outstanding Content Development Team. The Position As a Content Developer at Aplia, you will write and review online teaching materials for undergraduate accounting courses. In addition to authoring new teaching materials, you will become very familiar with all of Aplia's existing content, and will be able to advise our sales representatives on any content-related questions as well as help answer content-related support questions from students and professors. We are looking for someone who is passionate about accounting and education to help our senior accounting writer write, review, and edit our online accounting materials. Strong written and oral communication skills, some teaching experience (TA experience and tutoring are applicable), and the desire to make a positive contribution to a strong team are the most important qualities we seek. Courses in computer science, math, and statistics are also a plus. Excellent grades are essential. However, candidates who have taken difficult courses and received good grades will be more attractive than students who have taken easy courses and received excellent grades. Good writing skills are also important, and the applicant must also be comfortable with computers and applications software. This is a full-time position. Others stay for a few years and then go on to graduate school – for example, the econ PhD program at the University of Chicago and the MBA program at USC. The Ideal Candidate - Possesses at least a BS in Accounting. - Earned excellent grades and has good writing skills. - Has teaching or tutoring experience (strongly preferred). - Has a background in math, statistics, or computer science (preferred). - Can consistently meet deadlines. - Is computer-savvy and able to learn new software. - Is capable of and interested in working in a start-up environment. - Is bright, hard-working, flexible, dedicated, and a team-focused self-starter. - Is eager to learn and grow with an innovative, dynamic company.
