We are specifically looking for a Manager for our Financial Institutions - Insurance consulting team in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

A Manager in the Financial Institutions Consulting Practice will have the opportunity to provide leadership on engagements for clients in the insurance industry, with specific focus on Property and Casualty insurance and/or Healthcare insurance. In this role you can expect to provide quality consulting services of the highest standard to firm clients by effectively managing and directing all phases of an engagement. Responsibilities include:
• Lend experience and provide subject matter knowledge in any/all of the following insurance business process areas: healthcare management, provider contracting, member call centers, claims processing, actuary, or underwriting.
• Demonstrate general knowledge of insurance industry distribution channels.
• Develop and execute methodologies and solutions specific to the insurance industry.
• Develop and manage project plan, scope, budget, and timeline.
• Manage day-to-day project activities; establish appropriate leverage on project teams and assign/manage project responsibilities to team members.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance counseling to consultants and project team members.
• Communicate effectively (written and verbal) both internally and to clients, including those at an executive level.
• Deliver exceptional client service in all client interactions and projects (including internal clients/co-workers) and effectively manage members of a client team.
• Balance client, new business development, and practice development activities, including active participation in internal projects and operations along with complying with firm standards.

Qualifications:

• To meet our client’s needs, we need our Managers to be proven leaders, who have at least 5-7 years of consulting and/or management experience in the insurance industry, preferably with focus on Property and Casualty insurance and/or Healthcare insurance.
• Experience at a large consulting firm is preferred.
• Relevant skills in project management with hands on experience in the full life-cycle of a project.
• Proven people management, leadership, team building, relationship building, training, and mentoring skills.
• Team player with proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Solid communication, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Displays a positive attitude, is results-oriented, detail-oriented, has ability to multitask, and is interested in working in a fast-paced environment.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree (MS or MBA) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Operations Management, Marketing, Information Technology, or a similar field is preferred.
• Open to travel opportunities.
