Ryder is currently seeking a Consultant, Safety, Health & Security who will be responsible for managing safety, health and security processes and providing leadership for all matters related to employee safety and health. Candidate will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with internal Ryder safety and health requirements, as well as external regulatory agencies. Candidate will support operational personnel to ensure that systems are in place to drive continuous improvement in employee safety programs, regulatory compliance, workers compensation and injury/collision experience. Adjacent but separate distribution center facilities operate 24-7. Will coordinate facility safety / security related occurrence root cause investigations and implement appropriate preventive follow-up actions. Fully participative in administrative team support for warehouse SHS issues. Guide and support the operation's SHS training and development needs. Small operational component of DOT regulatory knowledge & compliance is also involved.

Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Safety is required with a preference to have a Masters degree in Safety or Health field. A minimum of three years of experience directly managing employee safety and health issues is required. A Masters degree can substitute for the required experience. Strong technical experience in OSHA/DOT/FMCSR regulatory standards is required. Candidate must have the ability to work with all levels of management and manage multi-functional teams. CSP or CDS preferred. ASP, CSP, CDS, CPP Certifications are desirable and helpful. Working knowledge of CTPAT and CFAT helpful
