Construction Project Manager

 

We are conducting a search for a construction project manager experienced in the design/build method of project delivery to join our Worcester, Massachusetts team.  Experience in the Corporate/Industrial, Scholastic, Elder Care markets a plus.  Individual project size $5-15 million. A solid track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion where the focus is on developing, maintaining and growing client relationships is essential.

 

Reporting to the Vice President of Construction Operations, this position will be responsible for: 

 

Managing the project from beginning to end including budget, cost unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan;Communicating necessary information to Field Supervision, architect, subcontractors and vendors to assist them in working to the project schedule and job cost parameters:Representing Cutler to the owner(s), consultants, authorities, vendors and subcontractors;Administering financial aspects of the owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders; andBuilding effective working relationships with clients and Cutler project team members.

 

Working with the field superintendent and architect, they must ensure that project objectives are accomplished within, or better than, prescribed schedules and job cost parameters. 

 

It has been our experience that candidates who have a B.S. degree in civil engineering/construction management or similar discipline are most successful.  We are looking for a candidate with 5-10 years relevant experience.

 

In addition, a thorough knowledge of construction related computer software to include MS Project, Timberline estimating, and Prolog is preferred.

 

Because maintaining client relationships are so important to us, you should have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.
