Technician (Construction Materials Testing) THE JOB—WHAT IT IS: As a CMT Tech with Terracon you will conduct field and laboratory tests of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates. You will assist other employees by transporting equipment, specimens and documents to field and lab personnel, laboratories, clients and other offices.
THE PERSON—WHAT IT TAKES: You are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid drivers license. You must be able to read and understand data and properly record collected information. This position involves regularly lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally moving more than 100 pounds. You should have 2 or more years of experience. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Some employees may have to pass the 40-hour safety training program. ACI Concrete Field I certification is a minimum qualification. Additional certifications we desire are WABO, OBOA, and ICC for reinforced concrete and other.
