As a Construction Manager in the Las Vegas office you would have the following responsibilities in Construction Management as well as Business Deveoplement.

CM Project Delivery:
You would be the main point of contact for all transportation CM work in the state of NV.
*Negotiate and finalize CM contracts with clients. *Regularly visit construction sites and obtain client feed back.
*Delegate tasks as needed.
*Fix problems before they escalate.
*Administer the construction management process.
*Follow and manage project schedules, budgets, and expenses

Quality Control:
You would be the Project manager for Construction Management projects including contract negotiations with clients.
­*Provide QA CM services ensuring client’s program is being carried out in an effective manner. *Implement and manage construction project’s scope of work and identify deviations. *Status with clients regularly and solicit feed back on CM performance.
*Identify, understand, and track milestones established in the project's agreement.
*Ensure client’s directions and requirements are being carried out in the field.
*Coordinate site completion to ensure quality, delivery, and client acceptance

Staff:
You would be the main contact person for the field staff‘s needs and concerns.
­*Build a reputable Construction Management staff.
*Take care of field staff and provide issue resolution. *Assist with staff work load and identifying future assignments. *Assist with providing the field staff the appropriate equipment and documentation.
*Coordinate staffing activities with DCR and staff future assignments.
*Identify staffing needs for a project.
*Identify new and strategic hires.
*Staff recruitment, selection, training, and retention.
*Assist and mentor ex-NDOT staff in tier switch to CH2M HILL. *Manage resources to ensure the safe, efficient, economical and timely completion of work with high regard for customer satisfaction.
*Implement and coordinate the personnel reporting within a project

Marketing and Business Development:
You would have regular face time with current clients in NDOT Carson, Reno, Washoe County and Southern Nevada RTCs, NDOT Las Vegas and Clark County, and other cities and counties.
*­Understand NV CM market, clients, and competitors.
*Prepare CM strategic plan for Nevada.
*Continuously identify new opportunities.
*Attend NDOT and municipal client conferences and events.
*­Regularly interface with the client.
*Develop and maintain positive relations with the current and potential clients.
*Proactively generate on-going opportunities with new and existing clients.
*Organize and coordinate marketing events such as publicity activities or special events with clients.
*Establish contact with NV CM clients and conduct regular visits.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:Nevada PE and a BS degree in construction management or civil engineering along with a minimum of 12 years experience working on transportation projects in construction required.Preferred Qualifications:MS degree in constuction management and 12 to 15 years of experience working on transportation projects preferred.
