CH2M HILL is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as a Construction Manager with a 6-10 years experience assigned as a Construction Manager or similar responsible position, experience in the construction industry with an emphasis on public works type projects such water or wastewater treatment plants, pump station, and pipelines for our Las Vegas, NV office.
Job responsibilities will include:
Construction management of water/wastewater pipeline and treatment plant projects. May conduct or assist with pre-construction conferences. Supervise and direct Resident Inspectors. Conduct site meetings dealing with Contractor work progress. Schedule, coordination, record drawing as well as problem exposure and resolution meetings. Coordinates issue resolution arising from the inspection process or from contract administration. May be responsible for planning and scheduling all or part of the onsite staff and staff that come to the site on an intermittent basis. Schedules surveyors and testing laboratories as necessary. May negotiate and resolve Change Order Requests and Request For Quotes proposals on behalf of the Owner. Keeps all parties of the contract informed of clarifications and interpretations required for proper execution of the contract. Able to work independently.Minimum of 6 years assigned as a Construction Manager or similar responsible position, experience in the construction industry with an emphasis on public works type projects such water or wastewater treatment plants, pump station, and pipelines.
BS in Engineering or Construction Management Program
Valid state drivers license.
Must be proficient in the use a computer to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. Must know how to access the internet and use e-mails.
Must be able to read and understand construction schedules using the CPM method, and be familiar with scheduling software similar to Primavera P3, Microsoft Project, or SureTrack.
