We currently have an opening for a Construction Manager to work on the construction upgrade of a wastewater treatment plant in Harrisonburg, VA.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the day to day construction management and contract administration of the projectEnsure that the project is constructed in accordance with the plans and specificationsAssist the design team in the timely review and response to RFIs, clarifications, and interpretations of the contract documentsDevelop and maintain a professional working relationship with the owner, contractor, and regulatory agenciesSupervise the on-site construction administration and inspection staffMaintain the project’s document control systemReview and manage the contractor’s scheduleReview, evaluate and approve all change management requestsReview and approve the contractor’s requests for paymentConduct periodic progress and coordination meetings.
Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication skillsLeadership and organizational skillsExperience with the construction management of wastewater treatment plant projectsKnowledge and familiarity with estimating and CPM schedulesBasic computer skills including word and excel are a mustExperience with Prolog and Primavera scheduling software a plusBS in Engineering discipline and 8+ years related experience or 10+ years general contracting/construction management experience.
