Fuss & O’Neill, Inc., a leading regional multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm, has an opening for a Construction Inspector in our Manchester Ct office. 

Candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of construction related experience in heavy and earthwork construction, experience as a resident representative on municipal, state or federal construction projects, and be able to independently perform inspection services and develop the associated documentation with limited onsite assistance. Duties include continuous inspections of construction projects, maintaining records of time, materials, workers, and significant events; detecting and reporting problematic soil conditions; monitoring contractor’s compliance with contract documents, utility requirements, and regulatory agencies, reviewing contract documents in preparation for bidding for completeness, accuracy, and constructability, coordinating meetings, conducting final inspections, advising on deficient work, materials or issues; reviewing and approving contractor requests for payment.   Preferred Education and Experience:   Associates degree in technical discipline, NETTCP certification in Transportation-Highway Construction or Underground Utilities Construction.
