KS Engineers, P.C., a mid-size engineering and construction management firm with offices in NY, NJ and PA is currently looking to fill the following positions. All positions are long term.

 

LOCATION:  NEWBURGH, NY

1) Civil Inspector - general heavy construction experience of 10-15 years.   Nicet or equivalent certification is required.

 

2) Electrical Inspector - general power and lighting experience. Any airport electrical experience is a major plus. Knowledge of the NFPA National Electrical Code is a must. 10-15 years related experience.

 

3) Office Engineer - general office administrative experience with emphasis on cost control programs, general knowledge of accounting principles and practices, familiar with Excel, Word, and Expedition. 5-10 years experience including at least 2-3 years of actual construction inspection work.

 

All candidates must be highly motivated and possess good communication and writing skills and must be able to cover any work shift including nights and/or weekends.

 

All individuals will  be required to work in sterile/high security areas and will be required to be fingerprinted and undergo a security background check before start of work.

 

 All must have a valid driver’s license.

 

LOCATION:  HOWLAND HOOK MARINE TERMINAL, STATEN ISLAND, NY

 

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR/ENGINEER 

 

This position is at the Howland Hook./ Port Ivory facility on Staten Island, adjacent to the Goethals Bridge

 

Candidates must have strong civil background in heavy construction, but also knowledgeable in other disciplines, with a min of 5 years experience in heavy construction. Nicet or equivalent certification is required.

 

Work will involve building demolition, immediate repairs, paving and utility

 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to: daily inspection of construction activities, paving, utility, building demo. Coordinate with facility, Operation's and tenant.

Individual must be proactive in facilitating progress and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Degree in Civil Engineering is desirable but not required.

 

A valid driver’s license is required.
