To be responsible for the coordination and supervision of various environmental compliance activities (land, air, water, emergency reporting, etc.) for several construction projects. To provide leadership, communication, and develop partnerships with multiple internal and external customers in order to successfully fulfill Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) objectives.
- Will work with Construction personnel, Management Teams, ES&H auditors, government agencies, etc. in order to coordinate all necessary environmental activities.
- Ensure that the construction of all facilities comply with environmental permit language.
- Interface with contractors & employees to advise them on all on-site environmental concerns such as waste disposal, spill containment, erosion controls, fugitive emissions, etc.
- Verify contractors have required environmental (air, waste, etc.) permits to complete projects.
- Work with Environmental Services, Plant Environmental Coordinators, & the MESH Team to support Construction Services’ zero Notices of Violation (NOV) goal for all projects.
- Develop environmental guidelines, site inspection checklists, and provide training to best ensure company compliance with all regulations for all on-site contractors & our personnel.
- Provide environmental assessment feedback and assistance to the Construction site personnel, Construction Site Managers, Construction Services Mgt, and to all other ES&H team members.
- Support the development of the Construction Environmental Excellence Program, assist in making Safety & Health our #1 priority, and perform any & all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Engineering or other related Science field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in the Environmental, Safety, & Health (ES&H) field.
Schedule: Must be capable of working a 40 hour work week with some overtime and travel required. Full travel costs and per diem will be paid in accordance with travel policies.
PDO's: Nine (9) paid holidays, no other paid days off
