CONTRACT CIVIL INSPECTOR NEEDED A.S.A.P. to join a project team in progress in MISSOURI. Experience required: 5 YRS OF HEAVY INDUSTRY and 5 YRS PROJECT MANAGEMENT (in new heavy construction environment)-LARGE CONSTRUCTION-Steel- Mining- Cement- SITES for 18 months-EXCEPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY!!! Candidate will be experienced with commercial and institutional construction projects. You will provide project management site supervision, budget preparation, cost control and quality control, scheduling management and engineering coordination. Strong civil engineering design background including piping networks, water treatment plants and pumping systems.

Daily responsibility is to promote safety in standard operating procedures and a safe working environment for this new installation site. Provide civil field engineering expertise including field inspections, quality audits and compliance with environmental regulations. Interface with contractors and vendors including solicitation of quotes, selection and field direction. Review and approve supplier drawings, engineering and structural drawings. Interface with engineering consultants and assist with administration and coordination of construction contracts.

Familiar with AutoCAD R-14/2000 Micro-Station and Microsoft Project; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other engineering design software

• Do you have experience as a civil field engineer in a cement or steel industry. How many years experience?
• Discuss your experience working as a civil inspector in a large construction environment. How many years experience?
• Discuss briefly a project you needed to be in compliance with environmental regulations, and perform audits and inspections.
• Discuss the engineering design software you have experience with. How many years?
• Are you willing to work on a contract job for 12 or more months?
