Accountant, Construction & Development Accounting – Bethesda, MD – 45,000.00 + 10% bonus potential + 500 stock option potential ENERGETIC!!! WELL PRESENTED!!!! HIGH ENERGY CANDIDATE WANTED A growing Realty Trust seeks a detailed-oriented Accountant to support our Manager, Construction and Development Accounting. Responsibilities include day-to-day tracking of capital activity, creating and maintaining job and commitment records in the Timberline Job Cost module, entering construction contract information and tracking balances, scanning documents to job records, tracking capital asset requests and approvals, tracking project completion dates, importing capital invoices from the AvidXchange invoice management web-based application to Timberline for payment processing, recording re-classes for capital invoices, researching invoices, researching and responding to cost inquires in a timely manner, sending deadline e-mails and managing the receipt of requested information, assisting with capital activity and various reporting, preparing and organizing reports and supporting documentation needed for quarterly meetings, and entering annual capital budgets into Timberline. Qualifications are 2+ years job cost accounting software experience, 2+ years in a real estate/construction environment, an Associates degree in accounting preferred, highly organized, detailed-oriented, ability to thrive in a fast-paced and tight deadline environment, diligent, multi-tasker, flexible, ability to grasp new and changes to concepts, policies, and procedures quickly, ability to work independently and with various departments, proficient in Microsoft Office especially in Excel, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
