Role: Technology Applications Consultant Assignment: Configuration & Environment Management Specialist - SPAA IT Location: Louisville, KY Assignment Capsule As a configuration and environment management specialist on the SPAA IT team you will be responsible for working with developers, architects and testers to manage and configure our software development environments and the software build and deployment processes for all our business applications. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as solid analytical and problem-solving skills. This role requires someone that is detail-oriented and able to work as a self-starter within a team environment. Key activities for this position include: Researching dependencies and resolving scheduling conflicts with any deployment request. Communicating status of all deployment requests Oversight of automated build process using FinalBuilder software Maintaining build scripts Code management using VSS Maintain and execute implementation plan for each code release. Support deployments in all environments (Test, QA, Proof, Production) On-call coverage; willing to work off hours for turns and maintenance as required Educating team members in environment management process Key Competencies Builds Trust: You honor your word by doing what you say you are going to do. Role Essentials Minimum of 3 years relevant software build and automated code deployment work experience Experience using VSS for code management Solid SQL Skills Development experience (.NET, C#) Experience deploying and rolling back applications including: Sharepoint applications, .Net based coding, Biztalk, SQL Server 2000/2005 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid analysis and problem-solving ability Role Desirables Experience in using FinalBuilder Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server Previous experience planning and managing large projects Prior experience in the health solutions industry Reporting Relationships You will report to a Technology Manager.
