We're looking for smart, ambitious entry-level candidates who are willing and able to take on a lot of responsibility quickly. At WIS, you will learn from some of the best in our business. And, with hard work and initiative, there will be many opportunities for growth and advancement. Our entry-level positions include:
· Editorial assistants to copyedit and proofread our publications. This position requires the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner and a keen eye for detail.
· Conference and Publication Sales Representatives to grow our sales within existing markets, and identify new opportunities to sell our portfolio of information products. Sales candidates must be high energy and motivated by the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings through goal attainment.
· Research associates to identify our customers’ educational needs by interviewing experts in the IT field. Applicants must possess strong internet research and interpersonal skills.
· Entry-level meeting planners to conduct site research, negotiate contracts, manage hotel contracts, coordinate air/ground transportation, and manage events on-site. Candidates must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines, strong customer service skills, and attention to detail.
· Conference operations coordinators to coordinate and ensure timeliness of event deliverables including signage and program guides. Manage conference-related research, assist with on-site conference logistics, and edit conference presentations. Exceptional organizational, communication, and computer skills are a must!
To succeed in an entry-level role at WIS, you’ll have to be flexible and have a “whatever it takes” attitude. You’ll also need to be highly organized and detail-oriented.
In exchange for your skills and talents, we offer a competitive salary and full benefits including Harvard Pilgrim healthcare insurance, dental, supplemental life, and reduced-rate auto insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with up to a $1,500 company match, and more. To top it off, we provide free, fresh bagels every Wednesday morning, and all the snacks, soda, and coffee that you need to keep going everyday.
More importantly, you’ll become a key player on a fun-loving team at a rapidly growing publishing and conference company. There are many exciting career paths you can pursue, and great people will support you along the way. If you’re like the majority of the people who work here, this will be the best place you’ll ever work and you’ll stay for a long time.
