Under direction, provides computer hardware, software and networking support to the WMC staff and faculty: answers end-user desktop computing questions via telephone and in person; provides general information regarding departmental computing policies and service agreements; connects departmental tagged workstations to college network; installs networking peripherals in physical network closets to ensure full connectivity; logs all activities in call ticket database; documents and updates records of all work done in database; manages and participates in sponsor-led special departmental technical projects; performs other job related duties as required.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; must have 2 years IT helpdesk experience; experience working in a telephone support call center a plus; knowledge of a wide variety of PC and Macintosh hardware and software required; knowledge of Linux desktop a plus; experience in networking and TCP/IP protocols required; excellent organization and communication skills.Note: Must be able to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing and emergencies, as well as light travel between office locations in NYC.
