Computer Science III
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology related discipline plus 4 years of position related experience; or have a minimum of 10 years of position related experience. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS required. An understanding HRMS processing desired. Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures a must. Ability to interface with Information Management and Human Resource departments to reason logically and creatively, develop and evaluate system and application alternatives, resolve complex problems, and present ideas and information effectively both orally and in written form. Maintain project plans and related documentation and resolve issues in a timely manner. Willingness to work flexible hours when required to meet job demands and organizational requirements. Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision. ** May be filled at an alternate level Computer Science Staff II. Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology related discipline plus 2 years related experience; or have a minimum of 8 years of position related experience.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide coordination, interaction and system/application expertise for the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) department. Act as lead on specific projects and be responsible for the administration, communication, and training of systems/applications produced as part of a project. Assist in requirements development, testing, and implementation of new products/applications for the HRIS department. Respond independently to customer phone calls and emails and provide assistance/training with the PeopleSoft query tool. Ensure system/application data integrity. Coordinate and produce thorough process documentation, project plans and requirements documents to ensure successful initiative implementation. Good understanding of Human Resources policies and procedures as well as HRIS/Payroll data is key. Specific knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS is required. Ability to interface at all levels and work toward goals, objectives and expectations required.
