 Description:The Senior Computer Forensic Engineer I is responsible for providing effective computer forensic solutions to our customers through onsite data captures, data recovery, forensic analysis, documentation and reporting of findings via reports, affidavits, depositions and court testimony.  Business travel is required at times to conduct onsite data collections, depositions, testimony preparation and appearances in court.  Onsite data collections can be conducted at any hour, on any day or night, and for several hours at a time.  Some data collections may span multiple days.  Some onsite data collections may involve law enforcement agencies.  Responsibilities:Provide effective Computer Forensic solutions following accepted protocols, processes, and Chain of Custody. Conduct effective Computer Forensic analyses using established tools and techniques for onsite data collections, in-lab imaging, data recovery, forensic analysis of media, operating systems, file data, and email, etc.  Conduct presentations or training on computer forensic methods and findings.    Advanced hands-on experience with laptops, desktops, etc. Advanced understanding of Network Architectures Advanced understanding of Windows based systems and networks Advanced understanding of non-Windows based systems and networks (Linux/Netware) Advanced hands-on experience with forensic investigations of systems Advanced understanding of e-mail based systems Advanced knowledge of 3rd party forensic software (EnCase; FTK). Advanced knowledge of Chain of Custody Experience drafting affidavits and writing reports Experience giving court testimony Ability to work in confined spaces Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs or the weight of a PC system or monitor. Ability to work for extended periods of time at or on a PC or network equipment.
