Compliance Administrator
Location: Minneapolis, MN (no telecommuting)
General Purpose: The Compliance Administrator implements an effective compliance program designed to preclude illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. The Compliance Administrator monitors compliance and administers controls, processes and procedures necessary to ensure achievement of the objectives of the compliance program.
Responsibilities:
• Audits and administers controls on government contracting compliance.
• Works with the Legal Department in proposing changes to policies and procedures to conform to compliance requirements.
• Generates reports
• Stays current with changes in compliance controls requirements
• Represents the company in relevant Industry Associations
• Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk based on internal audit and controls. Works with the Legal Department and Management to develop and implement corrective action plans in accordance with the compliance program.
• Institutes and maintains effective compliance processes, procedures and controls for the organization, including (a) use of the compliance hotline; (b) awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
• Monitors the performance of the compliance program and relative activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: 4 year degree in Business Management, Business Administration preferably with accounting or business systems.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Federal contract administration or procurement/acquisition.
SKILLS: Demonstrated leadership ability. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Excellent people skills.
KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with federal contracting and the FAR.
NICE TO HAVE’s: Familiarity with federal construction contracting. Familiar with construction accounting. Familiarity with governmental standards surrounding project accounting, false claims, bribes and kickbacks. Past experience with military contracts, federal construction, federal acquisitions and procurement, DCAA, ACO, GSA, CAV, IOA.
TRAVEL: ability to travel up to 60 business days per year to Mortenson project sites across the United States.
