Description

The Complex Case Manager is responsible for effective, efficient medical management of the population. The Complex Case Manager is responsible for the effective, efficient & proactive completion of all utilization management activities that facilitate the members movement through the continuum of care. Responsibilities include prospective, concurrent & retrospective reviews of Inpatient, LTAC, SNF & Rehabilitation members in their area of assignment. Medical necessity determinations and appropriateness of setting will be determined based on established policies and approved criteria.

 

Requirements

Must have 3-5 years of Case Management Experience in an insurance or managed care setting. Also must have experience with Complex cases.Must have criteria based decision making experience including knowledge of InterQualMust have strong clinical experience.Prefer CCM certification.
