Responsible for ensuring/driving the business requirements across selected key commodities.

Key areas of focus include: Strategic commodity sourcing management, risk assessment and mitigation alternatives, Meeting Business Unit cost, quality and delivery requirements, Commodity management presence at key Business Unit meetings (product roadmap, cost reviews, commits, R&D, cross-functional Ops, etc.) and first line of resolution for proto shortages, quality, and Value Engineering opportunities for sustaining programs.

Strategic ownership at a product/platform level across select key commodities
Focus on both Pre-release and sustaining engineering related activities
Ownership of resolution process on cost, quality escalations.
Strong mechanical and electromechanical commodity portfolio coverage. General knowledge in commodities, commodity management processes and program management.
Drive and collaborate to meet Business Unit goals, while still meeting Commodity Management policies.

Receives assignments in the form of objectives towards long-range fiscal year initiatives. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting specific initiatives of Mfg. and Eng. teams supported. Cross functional communication. Interpersonal and team skills.

Conflict resolution, Problem solving, Decision making, Influencing, Meeting deadlines, Global vision & planning. Leadership and presentation skills. Manages large, multi-faceted projects consisting of numerous BUs or locations.

May assist other Program Mgrs by managing segments of the largest projects. Develops solutions to critical & long-term problems of a complex nature which may require cross-functional/ cross organizational issue resolution. Has full accountability of projects from beginning to completion. Acts independently to make decisions that impact the supported BUs, corporate revenue and customer satisfaction.


Typically requires BA/BS or equivalent plus 8+ years manufacturing experienceTechnical or MS degree preferred. APICS/NAPM Certification preferredManagement/multi-discipline experience preferred Excellent communication (written, verbal) skills Excellent presentation skillsAbility to influence at executive levelsExcellent leadership and team-building skills Should be self driven and require little management. Self starter and go getter. Highly motivated.BU, Plant and/or Commodity experience preferred Additional skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing NPI process & procedures. Working understanding of broadcast industry.
