DESCRIPTION:   This Company is one of the leading Regional banks in South Carolina. The primary focus of this Company is to provide a hometown attitude with world class service and resources for its clients personal and business finances.  The company is stable and growing with multiple financial centers in South Carolina.   This company is a leading edge financial organization with growth potential in to many new areas.  They are seeking a key team player in a Commercial Loan Officer position that will coordinate and be responsible for sustaining activities involved with growing the bank’s client base and portfolios. This position is more about establishing your roots in the community than being an order taker.  The company is seeking an experienced loan officer to represent the bank as the “local bank down the street” to local businesses and successfully represent your client’s interest in a sincere and knowledgeable manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:    The primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service to business clients while aggressively prospecting new clients in order to manage a portfolio of business through cold calling, marketing, and referrals.  The candidate will also need to use established, successful business banking strategies to sell and service new and existing clients.  The ideal candidate will be familiar with a variety of lending procedures and concepts so they can perform formal credit analysis on clients.  In addition, the candidate should be comfortable making decisions on loans or be able to make recommendations to senior managers.

REQUIREMENTS:  The Company requires a minimum four-year college degree 3 years of related experience in a position of similar responsibility level.  Qualified candidates will have a strong background in credit analysis and commercial loan origination in a competitive environment. You must be goal oriented and be highly independent and energetic.  The candidate will be looked on to be able to evolve into a manager as the company’s footprint increases into other markets.  The ideal candidate will be expected to fit into the company culture while being a visible person in the community.  Candidates must be self-motivated with very strong documented experience in commercial lending strong team building skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain the cooperation and confidence of others are required.  The ability to think on your feet and rapidly adjust to changing priorities is necessary.   Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire confidence and trust are essential. This opportunity requires a strong team player that is also able to thrive on their own.  Strong documentation skills, reporting skills, and computer skills are required.
