Our continued growth has created an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Commercial Loan Funder/Closer within our Corporate Funding Group located in Central Phoenix.
This position handles Corporate Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loan documentation and closing related functions, to include quality control, loan funding, and post-closing servicing. Supports team by providing a variety of due-diligence and documentation review functions. Remains up to date on all policies, procedures and training. Ensures that unit functions at the highest level of expertise needed to provide superior assistance to CRE and C&I lending units. Identifies and addresses and/or elevates issues and exceptions within the funding desk.
Skills/ Requirements- Bachelors degree is highly preferred or equivalent work experience. Minimum high school diploma or GED coupled with some college and/or business training.
- Minimum 3 years working within a financial institution with experience focused in the service of commercial lending, primarily high-end C&I and RE loans.
- Detailed knowledge of real estate documentation requirements (including inspections, appraisals, title policies, surveys, hazard/flood insurance, property inspections, covenants, draw requests, budget review and analysis).
- Broad knowledge of all commercial lending documentation requirements (including equipment/accounts receivable/inventory/negotiables lien perfection) is required.
- Extensive commercial lending is desired.
- Background in legal, insurance, loan administration, loan documentation, loan review, audit or compliance is also highly desired.
- Skilled using internal banking systems (such as AFS, ALS, C-Net).
- Knowledge of banking technologies is a plus.
- Must have a strong attention to detail as well as must be a self-starter.
- Must be highly motivated, able to prioritize with emphasis on multi-tasking.
- Must have excellent communication skills and proficient in Word and Excel.
