Job Description: The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Process Manager - New Business for our Corporate office in Worcester, MA. Position Summary: The Process Manager is responsible for designing, reinforcing, and monitoring the work stream for the New Business Process within the Commercial Lines Operations division. This position not only owns the tactical and strategic components of the process but also the outcome of the process and the continual monitoring thereof. Responsibilities: Lead the development and monitoring of Best Practices and solutions by leveraging people, process and technology skills in all relevant domains. Influence strategic relationships with Underwriting, Field, Operations, Product Management and the Hanover Technology Group (HTG) by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of multiple client business processes while managing the development and implementation of innovative business processes and solutions. Recommend alternative processes, best practices and strategies based upon industry best practices and competitive analysis. Launch improvement/reengineering activities by helping to define process boundaries and establish team mission. Provide process and business consultation services which includes research, analysis, facilitation, process mapping, and business process improvement techniques to propose and implement business and system solutions that meet organizational objectives. Interface with higher-level customer contacts and management staff. (with Underwriting Management, Field Management, Field Staff, Operations Management and Staff, Product Management, Compliance, and the Hanover Technology Group (HTG). Ensure that the improvements made within the process do not negatively affect other processes or other parts of the organization. Own and execute the work process and technology from agent to Back Office fulfillment/processing. Interface with UTs in defining best practices, processes, etc. Determine how work will be accomplished in the process, including the design of applicable methods and procedures. Accountability for the entire process. All changes must be developed, reviewed and agreed to by Product, Field Underwriting and Operations Management. Develop and execute strategic plans. Drive major change when needed. Requirements: Property & Casualty experience is required Solid knowledge and understanding of the underwriting process Strong partnership building, negotiating and troubleshooting skills required. Proven ability to interface successfully with multiple customers and all levels within the organization. In depth understanding of business analysis techniques, with strong analytical thinking ability. Enterprise wide perspective of critical needs, strategic thinking and problem solving Excellent communication (written and oral) skills including effective change management planning Strong documentation and organization skills Proven ability to interface successfully with multiple customers and all levels within the organization. MS Office Suite, Group Wise Bachelors Degree Required Typically 7-10 Years of relevant business work experience, which demonstrates the ability to deliver, create solutions and lead.
